Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist healthcare providers during patient procedures and examinations, ensuring smooth operations.
- Collect and document patient history, vital signs, and relevant medical information accurately.
- Educate patients on healthcare topics, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
- Support diagnostic procedures and treatments by preparing and sterilizing instruments.
- Maintain cleanliness and manage inventory of medical supplies and immunizations in exam rooms.
- Identify and report any issues affecting quality care delivery to the supervisor promptly.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Nurse Manager or supervisor to ensure operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Nursing or equivalent educational background.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State, meeting all regulatory requirements.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; 4 years preferred for enhanced expertise.
- Proficiency in Creole and experience in primary care or FQHC settings is advantageous.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to interact effectively with physicians, patients, and healthcare staff in a team-oriented environment.
