Overview

  • Contribute to operational excellence at a leading hedge fund with a global investment portfolio and diverse trading strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to enhance processes aligned with strategic business objectives.
  • Engage in multi-asset class trade booking, monitoring, and reconciliation tasks daily.
  • Support trade flow management, risk reporting, and operational controls implementation.
  • Prepare detailed reports for investment and operations teams, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Participate in interdepartmental projects, contributing to process automation and improvement initiatives.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site collaboration and remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist COO and CFO in optimizing operational processes to align with business strategies.
  • Book third-party trade executions across equities, derivatives, FX, and commodities.
  • Monitor trading policies, position limits, and operational controls daily.
  • Liaise with principals, traders, and strategists to address portfolio-related issues.
  • Prepare nightly and weekly reports for investment and operations teams.
  • Reconcile trades against broker recap files, automating the process.
  • Support accounting, operations, and compliance teams with ad hoc projects.
  • Participate in spreadsheet development and trade flow automation initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree required, preferably in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • 2-7 years of experience in accounting or operations within hedge funds, banks, or administrators.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including macros, vlookups, and pivot tables.
  • Experience with shadow general ledger systems, preferably Geneva.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-focused with a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
