Overview

  • Lead and oversee the operations of a Home Health Agency, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to patient needs.
  • Provide strategic direction and supervision to administrative and clinical staff within the agency.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing home health services.
  • Ensure the agency's operations align with the organization's mission and vision statements.
  • Act as a liaison between the agency and the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure seamless communication and reporting.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, compassion, and patient-centered care within the agency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance agency performance and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Organize and direct the daily functions of the Home Health Agency to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Supervise and mentor administrative and clinical personnel, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive and effective home health services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided by the agency, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Prepare and present reports on agency performance to the Chief Nursing Officer.
  • Ensure staff adherence to ethical practices and professional standards in patient care.
  • Manage budgets and resources to optimize agency operations and service delivery.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent healthcare-related degree.
  • Current Registered Nurse license from the Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing Compact state.
  • Minimum of one year supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or related health programs.
  • Completion of the required 8-hour Administrator training course.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of corporate business management and healthcare regulations.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
