Job Description

Overview

  • Manage corporate shared services budget, ensuring accurate tracking and adjustments for financial year planning.
  • Implement cost allocation processes to optimize expense rebilling to legal practices and client cases.
  • Generate detailed financial reports on actuals, forecasts, variances, and shared service allocations.
  • Collaborate with finance teams globally to standardize cost allocation and reporting categories.
  • Analyze budget expenditures to identify areas for optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and maintain financial controls and approval matrices for all expenditures.
  • Support project costing, projections, and return on investment analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with global accounting and procurement practices in cost management policies.
  • Assist in audits and provide financial insights to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Facilitate creation and management of corporate shared services budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Implement costing processes to optimize expense rebilling to legal practices and client cases.
  • Produce regular financial reports on spending, including forecasts, variances, and allocations.
  • Review and approve invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contracted amounts.
  • Collaborate with global finance counterparts to standardize cost allocation and reporting methodologies.
  • Analyze budget spend to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Develop financial controls and approval processes to ensure compliance and accountability.
  • Assist with project costing, projections, and ROI analysis to support strategic initiatives.
  • Support internal and external audits and provide financial insights to senior leadership.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, with 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, cost allocation, and budget management.
  • Experience with global accounting and procurement practices is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify optimization opportunities and enhance financial efficiency.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global finance teams and senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of Procure to Pay methodologies and systematic controls implementation.
  • Experience in supporting audits and providing actionable financial insights.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage complex financial operations.
