Job Description

Overview

  • Lead financial operations, reporting to the CFO, in a newly created role within a dynamic accounting team.
  • Drive financial analysis, reporting, and cost optimization strategies to enhance organizational performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies through robust financial controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making and organizational growth.
  • Utilize advanced ERP systems and analytics tools to streamline financial processes and reporting.
  • Contribute to the preparation of year-end financial reporting and external reviews with detailed documentation.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct financial analysis to assess performance, identify trends, and recommend improvement strategies.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management review.
  • Lead cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and guidelines to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Oversee accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and regulatory reporting.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end close processes.
  • Optimize allocation methodologies and consolidated financial reporting practices.
  • Ensure compliance with multi-state tax requirements and pass-through entity structures.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; advanced degrees or certifications are preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with industry experience outside of professional services and banking.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as Sage, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft NAV, and advanced analytics tools.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS standards, and cost accounting principles.
  • Experience with multi-divisional reporting and multinational operations is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of managing and motivating finance teams.
  • Experience in distribution or web-based sales businesses is highly desirable.
