Overview
- Lead financial operations, reporting to the CFO, in a newly created role within a dynamic accounting team.
- Drive financial analysis, reporting, and cost optimization strategies to enhance organizational performance and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies through robust financial controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making and organizational growth.
- Utilize advanced ERP systems and analytics tools to streamline financial processes and reporting.
- Contribute to the preparation of year-end financial reporting and external reviews with detailed documentation.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct financial analysis to assess performance, identify trends, and recommend improvement strategies.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management review.
- Lead cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
- Develop and implement financial controls and guidelines to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Oversee accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and regulatory reporting.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end close processes.
- Optimize allocation methodologies and consolidated financial reporting practices.
- Ensure compliance with multi-state tax requirements and pass-through entity structures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; advanced degrees or certifications are preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with industry experience outside of professional services and banking.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as Sage, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft NAV, and advanced analytics tools.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS standards, and cost accounting principles.
- Experience with multi-divisional reporting and multinational operations is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of managing and motivating finance teams.
- Experience in distribution or web-based sales businesses is highly desirable.
