Job Description

Overview

  • Ensure the proper installation, testing, and operation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and controls.
  • Collaborate with project teams to verify compliance with contract documents and building codes.
  • Conduct inspections and verify installations of mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Witness and validate startup, testing, and commissioning of HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Work closely with subcontractors and third-party inspectors to resolve non-conforming work.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards such as ASME, ASHRAE, and NFPA.
  • Maintain high standards of quality assurance and control throughout project execution.
  • Contribute to strategic solutions and align teams to achieve desired outcomes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review contract documents and subcontractor submittals for compliance with project specifications.
  • Inspect mechanical installations, including ductwork, piping, insulation, and equipment, for adherence to standards.
  • Verify startup, testing, and commissioning processes for mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with project management teams and stakeholders to address and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards.
  • Monitor and document quality assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure project success.
  • Support the resolution of punch list items and project closeout activities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical construction, piping, HVAC installation, or quality assurance/control.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards such as ASME, ASHRAE, and NFPA.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and teams.
  • Demonstrated initiative and responsibility in delivering value and excellence.
  • Alignment with professional standards of excellence and ethical practices.
  • US citizenship required.
  • Ability to work on-site and adapt to dynamic project environments.
