Job Description

Overview

  • Lead architectural projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative designs for educational, municipal, and commercial buildings.
  • Utilize expertise in AutoCAD and REVIT to create detailed schematic designs and construction documents.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and milestones effectively to meet client expectations.
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless communication and project coordination.
  • Contribute to the development of feasibility studies, cost estimates, and project reports.
  • Participate in the technical development of projects, ensuring compliance with NJ building codes.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, combining on-site collaboration with remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Direct project teams, providing guidance on scheduling, budget management, and deliverable milestones.
  • Prepare architectural schematic designs and construction documents using REVIT and AutoCAD software.
  • Conduct site visits to survey conditions, document observations, and develop existing plans.
  • Coordinate with design team members, senior management, and external consultants throughout project phases.
  • Assist with planning efforts for educational referendums and NJDOE project applications.
  • Attend meetings, including plan reviews, pre-construction discussions, and professional organization events.
  • Manage the construction administration process, ensuring smooth transitions from contract award to project close-out.
  • Develop feasibility studies, cost estimates, and project documentation to support various phases.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent education required.
  • Licensed Architect or aspiring licensure with 7-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT software for design and documentation.
  • Experience in K-12, higher education, and municipal building projects preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel for effective communication and documentation.
  • Exceptional communication skills for client, contractor, and consultant interactions.
