Overview
- Manage the preparation and delivery of financial reports ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee internal controls related to financial reporting and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Collaborate with auditors and cross-functional teams to facilitate audits and regulatory filings.
- Lead group consolidation processes, including intercompany reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Enhance financial reporting processes through automation and implementation of best practices.
- Supervise and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Present financial insights and reports to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate and manage external and internal audit processes efficiently.
- Ensure timely preparation of statutory reports and regulatory filings.
- Analyze financial results, providing detailed variance analysis and insights.
- Maintain and improve documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Implement process improvements and automation in financial reporting systems.
- Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and operational departments to ensure alignment.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, promoting professional growth and development.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
- CPA, ACCA, or CA designation preferred for enhanced qualifications.
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting and consolidation.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards is essential.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
