Job Description

Overview

  • Lead accounting operations, payroll, billing, and accounts payable functions within a dynamic healthcare organization.
  • Collaborate closely with the CFO to optimize financial systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Mentor and develop a team of 5-6 direct reports, fostering accountability and growth.
  • Drive timely and accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in cross-departmental projects to enhance organizational workflows and operational excellence.
  • Maintain robust internal controls and ensure data integrity across financial systems.
  • Participate in audits, regulatory filings, and compliance initiatives to uphold standards.
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making and leadership within the finance department.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee accounting, payroll, billing, and accounts payable operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Mentor and develop team members, promoting professional growth and accountability.
  • Lead monthly close processes and prepare detailed financial reports.
  • Coordinate audits, regulatory filings, and compliance efforts to meet organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with the CFO on system upgrades, process improvements, and optimization initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting leadership roles; 7 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in financial reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll, billing, and accounts payable processes.
  • Experience with system upgrades and process optimization initiatives.
  • Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills to develop and manage teams effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
