Overview

• Lead the accounting function for consumer packaged goods initiatives, ensuring GAAP-compliant reporting and scalable financial operations.
• Manage financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of ledger operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial systems and processes.
• Support audits and contribute to financial system improvements for organizational scalability.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax requirements, and industry regulations through accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee inventory accounting and balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations within ERP systems.
• Partner with supply chain teams to deliver actionable financial insights and reporting.
• Drive process improvements to accelerate the financial close cycle and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Execute core accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, and revenue recognition.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities, collaborating with internal stakeholders for strategic planning.
• Design and implement scalable financial systems and controls for accurate forecasting and budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, delivering timely and precise financial reports.
• Manage inventory accounting processes, ensuring balance sheet accuracy and integrity.
• Lead monthly financial close processes, compliance reporting, and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with supply chain teams for accurate and actionable financial reporting.
• Support external audits and drive improvements in financial systems and processes.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting or related field required.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in Food & Beverage CPG industry.
• CPA certification required; SOX experience preferred.
• Prior experience in Big 4 accounting firms highly desirable.
• Proficiency in NetSuite ERP or similar accounting systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
