Overview

- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and professional standards in social services.
- Participate in quality assurance programs and departmental meetings to enhance service delivery.
- Utilize advanced educational training and independent judgment to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct individual, family, and group counseling sessions tailored to patient needs.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare personnel for comprehensive patient evaluation and treatment.
- Prepare detailed bio-psychosocial evaluations, mental status exams, and patient histories.
- Develop and implement short- and long-term therapy plans with clear objectives.
- Supervise and mentor social work interns, ensuring adherence to professional standards.
- Educate staff on psychosocial issues impacting patient care and treatment outcomes.
- Document patient services thoroughly in medical records and encounter forms.
- Coordinate with child welfare services for appropriate reporting and intervention.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure in New York State as LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Psychologist.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations, including HIV, homelessness, mental illness, and children.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to supervise interns and attend required supervisory courses.
- Knowledge of compliance standards such as Article 28 and JCAHO.
- Proficiency in documentation and reporting within healthcare settings.
- Bilingual Spanish skills preferred, with additional compensation available.
