Job Description

Overview

  • Manage daily operations of clinical teams, ensuring productivity, quality care, and patient satisfaction.
  • Coordinate activities across primary care, specialty care, and laboratory units.
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to support staff.
  • Develop and implement staff schedules to optimize workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and confidentiality standards.
  • Offer ongoing clinical training to enhance staff competencies.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and healthcare providers.
  • Participate in organizational meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support grant objectives and develop clinical procedures.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Recruit, hire, and train clinical support staff for optimal performance.
  • Monitor patient flow and staff workload to maintain service quality.
  • Screen walk-in patients and prioritize urgent cases.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and complaints effectively.
  • Coordinate prenatal program activities and ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain organized and confidential medical records.
  • Provide infection control training and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Chair monthly nursing meetings and foster team collaboration.
  • Report unusual occurrences promptly to supervisors.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum two years of experience in ambulatory settings.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Health Record systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a busy clinical environment.
  • Supervisory experience in healthcare settings.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety standards.
