Overview
- Lead compliance efforts for a dynamic organization within the alcoholic beverage industry.
- Direct and mentor a dedicated team to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to establish and implement compliance policies.
- Oversee the maintenance and acquisition of permits and licenses for operations.
- Ensure timely filing of price postings and excise taxes across various states.
- Manage state registrations and compliance matters for new operational territories.
- Educate staff on compliance laws related to the purchase and sale of alcohol.
- Maintain comprehensive records and databases for compliance tracking.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise the preparation and filing of COLAs with the TTB and update ERP systems.
- File consumer tasting event requests with relevant state authorities.
- Oversee the maintenance of label libraries and registration numbers.
- Coordinate with portfolio managers and sales representatives for compliance education.
- Investigate compliance requirements for new operational territories.
- Prepare and file monthly excise taxes and regulatory audits.
- Ensure adherence to U.S. Customs and FDA regulations for imported alcohol.
- Maintain corporate filings and manage logistics compliance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in alcoholic beverage compliance.
- At least 2 years of experience managing employees.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
- Knowledge of TTB and state product compliance regulations.
- Familiarity with U.S. Customs, FDA registrations, and trademark laws.
- Experience in logistics, corporate filings, and regulatory audits.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage compliance operations.
