Overview
- Provide professional nursing care and clinical supervision to a patient care team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Coordinate care team operations including scheduling, delegation, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure adherence to nursing standards, safety protocols, and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and satisfaction.
- Administer medications, treatments, and conduct point-of-care tests as per protocols.
- Review and manage patient charts and electronic health records for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare materials and equipment for patient examinations and treatments.
- Support infection control and environmental safety practices within the clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
- Manage care team schedules, PTO requests, and daily huddles for effective team coordination.
- Delegate tasks appropriately and ensure completion within scope of licensure.
- Assist in staff selection, training, and performance evaluations to maintain team efficiency.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring patient safety and care quality.
- Collaborate with physicians during patient examinations and treatments.
- Maintain and manage clinical supplies inventory in coordination with management.
- Document patient progress and care interventions in electronic health records promptly.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in hospital or ambulatory settings.
- Current unrestricted RN licensure in the State of New York.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and patient confidentiality practices.
- Proficiency in managing electronic health records and medical chart reporting.
- Strong communication skills for effective team collaboration and patient interaction.
- Ability to work independently, make clinical decisions, and delegate tasks effectively.
