Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Assist neurosurgeons in the operating room during spine and neurosurgical procedures.
• Perform inpatient rounding and manage neurosurgical patients effectively.
• Coordinate pre- and post-operative care plans for surgical patients.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and multidisciplinary teams for patient care.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and standards during patient management.
• Participate in call coverage and surgical case management as required.
• Provide patient education and support regarding surgical procedures and recovery.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and surgical outcomes.

Job Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing with active New York Physician Assistant license.
• Minimum of 1 year experience, with preference for 3 years in neurosurgery or orthopedic spine.
• Proven surgical first-assist experience in neurosurgical or spine procedures.
• Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams and hospital staff.
• Ability to manage inpatient rounding and patient care coordination effectively.
