Job Description

Overview

  • Manage payroll functions for a hybrid work environment supporting multi-state and international employees.
  • Oversee payroll system transition and implementation, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the Controller to optimize payroll processes and internal controls.
  • Provide technical support for timekeeping systems and troubleshoot issues.
  • Prepare and reconcile payroll-related journal entries and general ledger accounts.
  • Conduct payroll tax filings and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Support audit processes by preparing necessary payroll reports and reconciliations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll records and sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process biweekly payroll for approximately 200 employees across multiple states and international locations.
  • Ensure accurate labor allocation and reconcile discrepancies in payroll ledger.
  • Manage supplemental pay and imputed income for expatriate staff.
  • Prepare and submit periodic, quarterly, and annual tax reports, including W-2 filings.
  • Collaborate on system implementation, transitioning from UltiPro to Rippling.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer during consultant transition period.
  • Generate reports for payroll analysis and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Advise on payroll-related concerns and propose process improvements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of seven years of payroll processing and accounting experience.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll and tax filings required.
  • Proficiency in Rippling HRIS or similar payroll systems.
  • Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and electronic timesheet systems preferred.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting payroll and benefits data.
