Overview
- Support attorneys in delivering high-quality legal services to clients in a hybrid work environment.
- Prepare and proofread legal documents, spreadsheets, and presentations with meticulous attention to detail.
- Assist in court filings, electronic submissions, and document management tasks efficiently.
- Coordinate firm resources and schedules to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide virtual support to attorneys, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills to enhance work quality and productivity.
- Adapt to shifting priorities and multiple demands across firm offices.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Create, edit, and format legal documents for court and electronic filings.
- Manage work requests, document scheduling, and coordination of firm resources.
- Support attorneys in applying new technology for improved efficiency.
- Maintain Extranet data and FTP sites for attorneys and clients.
- Handle multiple demands and priorities while ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Communicate effectively with attorneys and team members to meet client needs.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support firm operations.
- Ensure compliance with firm policies and values in all tasks.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and 7+ years of legal secretarial experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and document management systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to develop positive working relationships.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Ability to provide virtual support and adapt to hybrid work arrangements.
- Notary Public certification preferred for additional responsibilities.
