Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise and evaluate nursing care provided on the inpatient rehabilitation unit.
- Coordinate unit activities to ensure safe and efficient healthcare delivery.
- Assist in implementing hospital policies, procedures, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a clinical resource and advocate for nursing staff development.
- Manage physician relations and foster collaborative practice among healthcare teams.
- Conduct staff interviews, hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Plan and coordinate unit-related educational programs and staff meetings.

- Ensure compliance with age-specific standards and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution required.
- Current RN license for the State of Texas or compact license required.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- CRRN certification preferred and required within three years of hire.
- Pass the licensed personnel FIM exam within 60 days of hire.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in inpatient rehabilitation nursing.
- Previous management experience or demonstrated leadership ability required.
- Strong knowledge of nursing standards and professional practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage unit operations effectively.
