Overview
- Collaborate with the Loan Syndications Group to arrange, structure, negotiate, and execute syndicated lending transactions.
- Support credit exposure management to align with Credit Risk Management mandates.
- Engage with borrowers and financial institutions to facilitate loan syndication processes.
- Prepare marketing materials including teasers, projections, and confidential information memoranda.
- Manage deal site activities, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
- Assist in due diligence, modeling, and packaging for syndicated loan transactions.
- Collaborate with loan servicing departments to ensure proper booking of syndication deals.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities for banking services and communicate them effectively.
- Comply with regulatory requirements including BSA, USA PATRIOT ACT, and OFAC.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Support sell-side syndications and buy-side opportunities within the Loan Syndications Group.
- Prepare and manage marketing materials for syndicated transactions.
- Populate and manage due diligence information on deal sites.
- Communicate syndication trends and opportunities internally.
- Assist in risk assessment and exposure management for participant banks.
- Draft and negotiate credit documentation with specialists and bankers.
- Support revenue generation and investor build-out objectives.
- Ensure compliance with AML/BSA regulations and complete required training.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in CRE, C-I lending, syndication, or financial services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and strong time management skills.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with borrowers and participant banks.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and collaboration abilities.
- Preferred certifications: FINRA 7/79 and NASAA 63 (can be obtained post-hire).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and present effectively.
- Experience with third-party systems used in syndication processes.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and industry standards.
