Job Description
Overview
- Support IT infrastructure by installing, configuring, and troubleshooting systems, networks, and software for optimal organizational performance.
- Conduct user training sessions to enhance understanding of system operations and functionality.
- Collaborate with vendors and support teams to ensure seamless IT operations and service delivery.
- Perform on-site analysis and resolution of hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Provide backup support to the Systems Administrator as needed for operational continuity.
- Participate in strategic IT planning and capacity development initiatives to support organizational growth.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IT standards and guidelines at federal, state, and local levels.
- Manage software licenses and media effectively to ensure legal and operational compliance.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Respond promptly to Service Desk calls and emails, resolving end-user IT issues efficiently.
- Install, configure, test, and maintain hardware, software, and network devices to ensure reliability.
- Create and manage computer images for user accounts and devices to streamline deployment.
- Provide individual and group training sessions to enhance user proficiency with IT systems.
- Document hardware failures, repairs, installations, and removals comprehensively for tracking.
- Develop and implement corrective solutions for IT issues, including off-site repairs.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders regarding Service Desk tickets and resolutions.
- Assist in the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure resilience.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in a relevant field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in IT support and infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and internet applications essential.
- Experience configuring networks for large user bases using TCP/IP protocols.
- Ability to install and configure shrink-wrap applications on PC operating systems.
- Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving complex IT issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for providing effective end-user training and support.
- Commitment to maintaining compliance with IT standards and guidelines.
