Overview

• Lead construction projects for a Detroit-based general contractor specializing in heavy industrial, automotive, and manufacturing sectors.
• Coordinate on-site operations, ensuring adherence to project timelines, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to achieve project goals effectively.
• Supervise construction teams, providing guidance and resolving on-site challenges promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal construction regulations and codes.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resources to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Foster a culture of safety and teamwork among construction crews and subcontractors.
• Contribute to the successful completion of high-profile industrial and manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Plan and oversee daily construction activities, ensuring smooth project execution.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain project schedules and quality standards.
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols to prevent workplace accidents and ensure compliance.
• Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and blueprints to guide project execution.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress and address any issues proactively.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to project stakeholders and management.
• Resolve on-site conflicts and challenges to maintain project momentum.
• Train and mentor construction teams to enhance productivity and skill development.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications in construction management preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction supervision; 10 years preferred.
• Proficiency in interpreting construction plans, specifications, and blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and construction codes.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage teams and projects effectively.
• Ability to resolve on-site challenges and conflicts promptly and professionally.
• Experience in heavy industrial, automotive, and manufacturing construction projects is a plus.
