Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to the financial management and control environment for a global organization, focusing on operations in China.
  • Collaborate with managers, accounting groups, and advisors across multiple international offices.
  • Assist in strategic planning and provide detailed financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Participate in monthly and annual financial close processes for various corporate entities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial transaction approvals and reconcile monthly bank statements.
  • Analyze intercompany balances and facilitate timely fund movements between entities.
  • Prepare monthly expense forecasts and annual budgets to guide financial planning.
  • Support local accountants by coordinating activities and addressing inquiries.
  • Engage in ad-hoc projects and analytical tasks to enhance financial operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review and ensure appropriate approvals for financial transactions to maintain compliance.
  • Participate in monthly and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reconcile bank statements monthly and monitor cash flow across entities.
  • Analyze intercompany balances and ensure timely fund movements between entities.
  • Prepare and analyze account reconciliations, providing insights into variances.
  • Develop monthly expense forecasts and annual budgets to support financial planning.
  • Guide local accountants by coordinating activities and addressing inquiries effectively.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects and analytical work to support organizational goals.
  • Adapt working hours to collaborate with staff in China as required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial management.
  • Advanced Excel skills, evaluated during the interview process.
  • Knowledge of Workday general ledger and human resource systems is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese for effective communication.
  • Experience managing global cash flow is preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
  • Flexibility in working hours to accommodate international collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support financial operations.
