Job Description

Overview

  • Assist with a short-term I-9 audit project, ensuring compliance and accuracy in document handling and organization.
  • Retrieve, scan, and file I-9 forms for active and terminated employees following established guidelines.
  • Work independently and maintain confidentiality while adhering to detailed instructions.
  • Update tracking sheets with accurate information about each form, including citizenship status and document details.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of project goals.
  • Utilize proficiency in Excel and office equipment to streamline processes effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Retrieve I-9 forms from designated locations for active and terminated employees.
  • Scan and file I-9 forms into employees' digital records accurately.
  • Maintain and update an Excel tracking sheet with form details and compliance status.
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive employee information.
  • Follow detailed instructions to meet project deadlines effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members to address any discrepancies or issues.
  • Conduct audits of I-9 forms to ensure compliance with company and legal standards.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress to supervisors.

Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent education preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with I-9 forms or HR compliance.
  • Proficiency in Excel and basic office equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
  • Experience with HireRight for I-9 compliance is preferred.
  • Criminal background check required prior to employment.
  • Availability for on-site work, Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm.
