Job Description

Overview

  • Drive strategic program management for advanced R&D initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and technical execution excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, including Embedded Systems, Firmware, and Electrical Engineering, for seamless project integration.
  • Act as a key liaison between executive leadership and technical teams, translating business goals into actionable plans.
  • Oversee program delivery from concept through deployment, maintaining focus on quality and timelines.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, implementing proactive strategies to mitigate challenges and capitalize on advantages.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive program reviews and status reports to stakeholders and decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead end-to-end program management for high-impact R&D projects, defining scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across diverse stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Monitor progress and resolve technical and operational blockers in collaboration with engineering leads.
  • Ensure integration across hardware and software domains, supporting system architecture and development planning.
  • Manage program risks, implementing mitigation strategies and maintaining compliance documentation.
  • Deliver updates and insights to executive leadership, investors, and external partners, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Prepare dashboards and detailed reports for program reviews and stakeholder presentations.
  • Interface with customers to manage expectations, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction with program outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of program management experience in R&D, defense, or technology-focused environments.
  • Proven expertise in managing cross-functional hardware/software programs with complex technical requirements.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems, firmware development, and electrical engineering workflows.
  • Familiarity with industry compliance standards and security protocols, including ITAR and DoD regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills to drive program success.
  • Preferred certifications include PMP, Agile, or equivalent program management credentials.
  • Experience in high-growth or startup environments is advantageous.
