Job Description

Overview

  • Support complex real estate finance transactions, including construction loans, syndications, and joint ventures, ensuring seamless execution and compliance.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and stakeholders to manage multijurisdictional financing projects effectively and efficiently.
  • Conduct detailed due diligence, focusing on title and survey reviews and jurisdictional compliance analysis.
  • Draft and review real estate finance documentation under attorney supervision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
  • Coordinate and facilitate transaction closings, including preparation of closing checklists and deliverables.
  • Conduct legal research on real estate finance issues relevant to jurisdictional requirements and industry practices.
  • Serve as a liaison for clients and third parties, maintaining clear communication throughout transaction processes.
  • Engage in a hybrid work environment, combining remote and on-site collaboration for optimal productivity.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage legal and diligence checklists for real estate finance transactions, ensuring thorough and organized workflows.
  • Review and analyze title and survey documents for compliance with transaction requirements and legal standards.
  • Negotiate agreements related to title and survey to facilitate transaction success and mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate execution of signature pages and timely delivery of transaction documents to stakeholders.
  • Prepare closing binders and manage post-closing documentation efficiently and accurately.
  • Draft conveyance documents for secondary market transactions, ensuring compliance and precision.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction workflows and effective communication.
  • Utilize advanced software platforms for document management, electronic recording, and efficient transaction processing.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with Paralegal certification required for eligibility.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in real estate finance transactions; five years preferred for advanced proficiency.
  • Proficiency in title and survey review and analysis for compliance with transaction requirements.
  • Knowledge of jurisdictional real property statutes and recording practices for accurate documentation.
  • Experience with software platforms such as iManage, Excel, SharePoint, and online portals for efficient task management.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing tasks and documentation.
