Microsoft Systems Engineer

Overview

• Contribute to the design, administration, and optimization of Microsoft 365 and Azure environments for a forward-thinking organization.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance, security, and operational efficiency across platforms.
• Manage and enhance systems like SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams, and Azure services.
• Lead technical projects including migrations, tenant transitions, and service implementations.
• Promote best practices and contribute to governance and standards development.
• Provide technical expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and Azure automation workflows.
• Support hybrid work models with occasional travel for team collaboration and site visits.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Administer Microsoft 365 platforms ensuring optimal performance and compliance with organizational policies.
• Configure and manage Entra ID, Conditional Access, and identity governance frameworks.
• Design and implement SharePoint Online governance and lifecycle management strategies.
• Administer Exchange Online mail flow, anti-spam, and phishing policies effectively.
• Configure Teams policies, lifecycle management, and Teams Phone governance protocols.
• Implement security and compliance policies using Microsoft Purview tools.
• Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and automation workflows efficiently.
• Deliver technical projects including migrations and tenant onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Create dashboards for monitoring service health and security posture.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7+ years of experience in Microsoft ecosystems administration and support.
• Expertise in Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, and Purview platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and zero trust principles.
• Experience with ITIL processes and structured testing methodologies.
• Preferred certifications: Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert, Azure Administrator Associate.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for site visits and team collaboration.
• Experience in commercial real estate environments is advantageous.
