Overview
- Provide advanced clinical leadership and expertise in neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) settings, ensuring exceptional patient care and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement innovative care strategies and performance improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and support NICU nursing staff, fostering professional growth and promoting evidence-based practices.
- Design and deliver educational programs to enhance staff competencies and patient outcomes.
- Serve as a resource for clinical decision-making and policy development within the NICU.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies to maintain high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide clinical mentorship and guidance to NICU nursing staff, enhancing their skills and confidence.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for enhancing NICU care practices.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans.
- Design and deliver educational sessions tailored to NICU staff development needs.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and applicable laws in all NICU operations.

Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing with Clinical Nurse Specialist certification required; Doctorate preferred.
- Minimum of two years of NICU experience; three years in acute care nursing preferred.
- Current RN and Clinical Nurse Specialist licenses required; additional certifications in neonatal care preferred.
- CPR and NRP certifications required; instructor certification preferred.
- Proficiency in computer applications and data analysis tools required.
- Strong communication, leadership, and program development skills essential.
