Overview
- Manage accounting and financial reporting for private equity funds, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to oversee fund operations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements for investor reporting.
- Ensure timely completion of audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures tailored to fund requirements.
- Provide insights on fund performance and assist in investment evaluations.
- Contribute to the optimization of accounting systems and processes for efficiency.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee fund accounting operations, including reconciliations, allocations, and distributions.
- Prepare financial reports and statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with investment teams to provide accurate financial data for decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax filings for funds.
- Monitor cash flows and manage liquidity to meet fund obligations.
- Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.
- Implement and maintain accounting systems to streamline operations and reporting.
- Train and mentor junior staff on fund accounting practices and procedures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 3-6 years of experience in fund accounting, private equity, or credit environments.
- CPA certification preferred, with a strong understanding of public/private accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
- Experience working without an administrator is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for financial data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
