Job Description
Overview
- Lead multifamily construction projects with a focus on historic renovation, ensuring project success from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team including Assistant Project Managers and Superintendents to achieve project milestones.
- Manage client relationships effectively, participating in meetings and addressing project needs.
- Coordinate with field teams to ensure seamless communication and execution of project plans.
- Oversee budget management and ensure adherence to GMP contracts.
- Engage in detailed paperwork and reporting to maintain compliance and project documentation.
- Contribute to the mentorship and development of junior team members.
- Ensure project completion within designated timelines and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and timelines for multifamily construction projects.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure project alignment.
- Lead Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings to discuss progress and address concerns.
- Prepare and review RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with National Park Service standards for historic renovation projects.
- Mentor and guide Assistant Project Managers and other junior staff.
- Monitor delegated design processes and coordinate with MEP engineers.
- Address client-facing responsibilities with professionalism and effective communication.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in GMP contract management and budget oversight.
- Experience in multifamily construction projects; historic renovation experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills for handling detailed paperwork and reporting.
- Effective communication skills for client-facing interactions and team coordination.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
- Willingness to relocate to Augusta and work on-site for the duration of the project.
