Job Description

Overview

  • Lead multifamily construction projects with a focus on historic renovation, ensuring project success from inception to completion.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team including Assistant Project Managers and Superintendents to achieve project milestones.
  • Manage client relationships effectively, participating in meetings and addressing project needs.
  • Coordinate with field teams to ensure seamless communication and execution of project plans.
  • Oversee budget management and ensure adherence to GMP contracts.
  • Engage in detailed paperwork and reporting to maintain compliance and project documentation.
  • Contribute to the mentorship and development of junior team members.
  • Ensure project completion within designated timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and timelines for multifamily construction projects.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure project alignment.
  • Lead Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings to discuss progress and address concerns.
  • Prepare and review RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with National Park Service standards for historic renovation projects.
  • Mentor and guide Assistant Project Managers and other junior staff.
  • Monitor delegated design processes and coordinate with MEP engineers.
  • Address client-facing responsibilities with professionalism and effective communication.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in GMP contract management and budget oversight.
  • Experience in multifamily construction projects; historic renovation experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills for handling detailed paperwork and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills for client-facing interactions and team coordination.
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Willingness to relocate to Augusta and work on-site for the duration of the project.
