Overview
- Manage accounting and financial reporting for employee benefit plans, including pensions, 401(k), and retiree benefits.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial disclosures for accurate reporting.
- Support quarterly and annual close processes related to benefits accounting and compliance.
- Collaborate with actuaries, HR, and external vendors on benefit plan assumptions and reporting.
- Analyze plan performance, liabilities, and expenses, including pension obligations and deferred compensation.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards, including ASC 715 and related guidance.
- Assist with audit support, including external auditors, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance benefits accounting workflows.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Preferred 10 years of experience, including benefits accounting or actuarial accounting.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP standards, particularly ASC 715.
- CPA certification is preferred for this role.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with HR, actuaries, and finance teams.
- Solid analytical and modeling skills to assess plan performance and liabilities.
- Experience with audit support, including external auditors and SOX compliance.
