Job Description

Overview

  • Join a leading investment firm as a Senior Fund Accountant/Manager, contributing to impactful financial operations and reporting initiatives.
  • Lead the financial reporting cycle, ensuring compliance and accuracy across funds, co-investments, and corporate entities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and maintain financial infrastructure for the platform.
  • Oversee third-party administrators, valuation firms, and accounting/tax firms, managing audits and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and investor waterfall calculations to support strategic decisions.
  • Ensure adherence to partnership agreements and investor side letters while managing transactional accounting activities.
  • Document and implement repeatable processes for financial operations, enhancing efficiency and reliability.
  • Support the CFO and team in ad hoc projects, contributing to the firm's success.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage the full financial reporting cycle, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and tax compliance.
  • Coordinate with third-party administrators, valuation firms, and accounting/tax firms to ensure audit readiness.
  • Develop and maintain budgets for individual funds and co-investments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Forecast investor capital calls and distributions in collaboration with the investment team.
  • Maintain complex investor waterfall calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with Limited Partnership Agreements and investor side letters.
  • Manage transactional accounting activities, including expense allocations and monthly payments.
  • Document and implement processes for financial operations to streamline workflows.
  • Support the CFO and team in various projects, contributing to organizational success.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance, with CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with 8 years preferred.
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and investor relations.
  • Proficiency in managing audits and coordinating with third-party service providers.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in building and maintaining financial infrastructure and processes.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to financial reporting standards.
