Job Description

Overview

  • Provide operational IT support for end-user applications and workstation hardware within a dynamic trading floor environment.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot workstations, including performing software upgrades and ensuring system functionality.
  • Support market data and trade execution platforms, ensuring seamless operations for critical financial services applications.
  • Collaborate with team members to execute daily operational procedures, including system checks and data center inspections.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the improvement of IT support processes and workflows.
  • Provide off-hours support as part of a rotating schedule, ensuring consistent IT service availability.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot workstation hardware and software, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Provide technical support for market data and trade execution platforms, resolving issues promptly.
  • Execute daily operational procedures, including system status checks and managing trouble ticket workflows.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance IT support processes and ensure effective communication.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of IT strategies and solutions.
  • Provide off-hours IT support as part of a rotating schedule, ensuring service continuity.
  • Manage printer and print vendor operations, ensuring reliable document management solutions.
  • Support mobile device management for iOS and Android platforms, enhancing user productivity.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, with strong technical expertise.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience providing technical support for workstations and IT systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft desktop software, including Windows 11 and Office 365 applications.
  • Experience in the financial services industry, with familiarity in market data applications like Bloomberg and Refinitiv.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Backup, Desktop Patching, VMware, or Ivanti product suite is preferred.
  • Experience with printer and print vendor management, as well as mobile device management, is desired.
