Overview

  • Lead the design and development of advanced embedded systems for robotics and autonomous platforms.
  • Serve as a top-tier technical authority, influencing architecture and engineering direction across teams.
  • Deliver highly reliable, high-performance firmware in mission-critical environments.
  • Collaborate on electrical and firmware co-design for microcontroller-based control systems.
  • Optimize real-time embedded software for stringent latency, reliability, and performance requirements.
  • Ensure robust system-level integration across sensors, actuators, and control hardware.
  • Establish rigorous testing and validation strategies aligned with demanding standards.
  • Mentor senior engineers and elevate technical standards across the organization.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Architect and implement embedded firmware systems from concept through production.
  • Lead schematic development for microcontroller-based systems, power conversion, and motor drives.
  • Develop real-time, safety-critical embedded software with stringent reliability requirements.
  • Drive integration across sensors, actuators, and control hardware for scalable operation.
  • Execute advanced testing methodologies and validation processes for mission-critical systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware/software issues across the system stack.
  • Influence cross-functional architecture and engineering direction as a technical authority.
  • Elevate engineering standards and mentor senior engineers within the organization.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical design and embedded firmware development.
  • Expertise in microcontroller-based systems, power electronics, and motor control.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python for embedded systems and development workflows.
  • Experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, and kernel customization for specialized platforms.
  • Strong command of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, CAN, UART, and I2C.
  • Track record of optimizing embedded software for low latency and high performance.
  • Familiarity with safety certification standards and regulatory requirements.
