Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as a key member of the Portfolio Services team, embedded within the middle office and located on the trading floor.
  • Contribute to both Product Control and Client & Portfolio Services functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in operations.
  • Perform quality control reviews of trade booking methodologies and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Prepare detailed performance attribution reports and respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with investment operations teams to resolve discrepancies and improve booking processes.
  • Support fundraising efforts through computation of carve-out track records and other analyses.
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiency by assessing workflows and partnering with technology teams.
  • Handle recurring client reporting deliverables and ad hoc requests from various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform quality control reviews of trade booking methodologies, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
  • Verify the accuracy of new trade onboarding processes internally and externally.
  • Validate portfolio components, including cash positions and securities holdings, against administrator records.
  • Analyze variances during reconciliation processes and collaborate to resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare detailed performance attribution reports and explain portfolio returns contributions.
  • Produce business line P&L reports for portfolio managers and senior executives.
  • Respond to performance inquiries and prepare recurring client reporting deliverables.
  • Assess workflows and drive process improvements in collaboration with technology teams.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a strong academic background.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, with 8 years preferred, in relevant roles.
  • Proficiency in trade booking methodologies and reconciliation processes.
  • Expertise in performance attribution and portfolio reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Experience in client reporting and handling ad hoc requests effectively.
  • Ability to assess workflows and implement process improvements.
  • Fluency in both Product Control and Client & Portfolio Services functions.
