Overview

  • Lead the transformation of fund accounting operations using advanced technologies and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data integrity and operational scalability.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing Fund Accounting team, fostering growth and excellence.
  • Oversee fund accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
  • Drive process improvements and implement automation to streamline workflows.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax preparers, and third-party administrators.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, including new fund launches and system integrations.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, combining in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Architect and execute a data transformation strategy to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Lead and mentor the Fund Accounting team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Oversee the NAV process, including internal shadowing and investor estimations.
  • Supervise year-end fund audits and ensure accurate regulatory reporting.
  • Collaborate with tax preparers for fund tax filings and compliance requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within fund accounting operations.
  • Manage special projects, including system integrations and new fund launches.
  • Represent Fund Accounting in cross-functional initiatives and regulatory reporting.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in fund accounting or related professional roles.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of driving organizational initiatives.
  • Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Geneva or similar accounting systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with cross-functional collaboration experience.
  • Background in automation, workflow improvement, or systems implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
