Overview

  • Lead fund accounting operations, ensuring precision and compliance in financial reporting and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize fund administration and operational workflows.
  • Drive innovation through strategic projects, including system upgrades and process enhancements.
  • Prepare and review detailed financial statements and tax documentation with regulatory adherence.
  • Coordinate audits with external auditors and fund administrators to ensure transparency.
  • Develop and implement robust internal controls to mitigate risks and enhance efficiency.
  • Engage in a hybrid work model, balancing remote flexibility with collaborative on-site engagement.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage accounting and administration for fund-of-fund vehicles, ensuring accurate transaction processing.
  • Collaborate with service teams, custodians, and fund managers to resolve discrepancies effectively.
  • Price underlying fund managers using month-end estimates and statements for precise NAV reporting.
  • Prepare and review year-end financial statements and tax documentation with regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate audit processes, liaising with auditors and administrators for seamless execution.
  • Enhance internal controls and procedures to optimize operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, including new product launches and system implementations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, demonstrating foundational expertise.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hedge fund accounting and reporting.
  • CPA certification preferred, showcasing advanced knowledge and commitment to excellence.
  • Proficiency in processing and reviewing general ledger transactions for accuracy.
  • Experience with management and incentive fee calculations, demonstrating analytical capabilities.
  • Extensive experience in audit processes and preparing financial statements.
  • Knowledge of financial instruments, including stocks, bonds, and derivatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address financial discrepancies effectively.
