Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Coordinate operating room schedules, personnel assignments, and surgery distribution to optimize department efficiency.
- Supervise patient care across all surgical phases, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Monitor and address quality indicators, including asepsis, equipment readiness, and medication inventory.
- Develop and update policies and procedures in collaboration with relevant committees and managers.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, in-service training, and competency reviews to ensure compliance with standards.
- Ensure timely completion of certifications and training for all team members.
- Provide detailed administrative reports on census, performance improvement activities, and meeting outcomes.
- Respond to equipment variances and schedule repairs to maintain operational readiness.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing leadership experience; 5 years preferred.
- Active RN license and certifications in CNOR, BLS, and NIMS IS 100, 200, and 700.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Strong knowledge of surgical services operations and patient care standards.
- Ability to manage budgets, equipment procurement, and staff scheduling effectively.
