Overview

  • Lead the Behavioral Health Services department, ensuring operational excellence and quality patient care delivery in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance mental health services and improve patient outcomes.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to elevate departmental performance, patient satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
  • Utilize leadership expertise to mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure efficient resource utilization to maximize productivity and optimize operational costs.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, physicians, and staff to ensure seamless communication and care delivery.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee departmental goals, objectives, and daily operations to achieve quality improvement and fiscal productivity.
  • Supervise staff performance, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and safety standards.
  • Plan, organize, and direct quality patient care initiatives within Behavioral Health Services.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance patient satisfaction and care outcomes.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and departmental efficiency.
  • Manage resource allocation and budget planning to ensure cost-effective operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s Degree preferred or to be obtained within six months of employment.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) certification and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Behavioral Health Services management or acute care setting; 5 years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality improvement processes.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop staff effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with patients, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage budgets and optimize resource utilization for cost-effective operations.
