Overview
- Oversee residential program operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering high-quality services to residents.
- Supervise and mentor staff, fostering professional growth and effective team collaboration.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize service delivery and program outcomes.
- Develop and implement administrative systems for new residential facilities, ensuring seamless operations.
- Conduct investigations and resolve personnel and program participant-related issues efficiently.
- Ensure staff training in mandated areas, including behavior management and interdisciplinary processes.
- Interpret and enforce organizational policies and safety regulations within the assigned region.
- Provide managerial oversight during vacancies or absences of regular management staff.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise non-nursing clinical and consultant team members, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations.
- Coordinate services for individuals under the Home and Community-Based Services Waiver.
- Provide training and support in management systems, SCIP techniques, and documentation processes.
- Motivate staff to achieve program goals and maintain high-quality service delivery standards.
- Ensure effective coordination of medical, clinical, and consultant staff within assigned facilities.
- Perform Treatment Coordinator responsibilities and supervise related activities.
- Assist in the development of new residential facilities, including physical plant and administrative systems.
- Conduct investigations into personnel and program participant-related issues, ensuring resolution.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related health service field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum two years of management/supervisory experience in a residential group home setting.
- Knowledge of OPWDD regulations and ability to perform QIDP duties effectively.
- Valid Tri-State or New York State driver’s license in good standing.
- Proven ability to make independent decisions and manage stressful situations effectively.
- Experience in developing residential facilities and implementing administrative systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact tactfully with personnel, residents, and external parties.
- Commitment to ongoing staff training and development in mandated areas.
