Overview

  • Lead nursing operations for Med/Surg/Tele units, ensuring quality patient care and compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational policies within the nursing department.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and care delivery.
  • Monitor and manage department budgets, resources, and staffing levels effectively.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless healthcare services across facilities.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance, ensuring compliance with standards of care.
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate staff training programs to maintain high competency levels and professional development.
  • Oversee patient care activities, ensuring optimal outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to coordinate patient care services.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg/Tele nursing; 3 years preferred.
  • Current California RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
  • Proficiency in basic EKG/tele interpretation or completion of a Basic EKG course within six months of employment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills essential.
  • Ability to manage budgets, staffing, and resources effectively.
  • Experience in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance preferred.
