Overview

  • Oversee project management, budgeting, and scheduling for mechanical engineering projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.

  • Contribute to proposal writing, construction cost estimating, and energy analysis.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Serve as engineering project manager, overseeing budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and document observations.
  • Prepare project reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with architects, vendors, and other stakeholders during project phases.
  • Develop construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit software.
  • Manage construction administration processes, ensuring project compliance and quality.
  • Provide technical leadership and enforce engineering policies and standards.
  • Support strategic planning and forecasting for engineering projects.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Professional Engineer license preferred.
  • 15+ years of engineering experience, including 7+ years in team management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and load calculation software like Trane Trace.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and public bidding procedures.
  • Experience with commercial, educational, and institutional projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Strategic thinker with expertise in project budgeting and forecasting.
