Job Description

Overview

  • Lead tax compliance and strategy for a multi-entity structure spanning six countries.
  • Collaborate with finance teams and external advisors to ensure timely compliance.
  • Prepare and review annual consolidated income tax provisions under ASC 740.
  • Support M&A activities, including tax diligence and post-close integration.
  • Develop tax strategies to optimize overall tax position across jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate tax activities between holding company and operational finance teams.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to enhance tax processes and compliance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for scalable tax function management.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage federal, state, and international tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Oversee sales, VAT, GST/HST compliance using third-party software and advisors.
  • Prepare consolidated income tax provisions and related disclosures under ASC 740.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audit cycles for tax-related documentation.
  • Support M&A tax diligence, deal structure analysis, and post-close integration.
  • Develop and recommend tax strategies for partnership and flow-through structures.
  • Manage international tax matters, including transfer pricing and cross-border transactions.
  • Train finance teams on tax processes and create operational playbooks.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • 4-8 years of progressive tax experience, including public accounting and corporate roles.
  • CPA or equivalent certification required; inactive status acceptable.
  • Experience with federal partnership taxation, K-1s, and pass-through structures.
  • Proficiency in ASC 740 tax provision preparation and documentation.
  • Familiarity with international tax matters, including VAT/GST and transfer pricing.
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills across diverse teams and jurisdictions.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and implement scalable tax processes.
