Job Description

Overview

  • Manage operations for private credit and alternative investment platforms, focusing on loan-based private financings and bespoke structures.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, account managers, and external service providers to ensure accurate settlement and lifecycle management.
  • Act as the primary contact for end-to-end restructure processing, requiring precision and strong knowledge of credit agreements.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational controls.
  • Support complex financial transactions and engage with vendors for service upgrades and special projects.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, workflow mapping, and control inventories across products and systems.
  • Ensure alignment between business requirements and system capabilities through collaboration with technology teams.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide operational coverage for distressed credit portfolio managers, including deal settlement and cash movements.
  • Oversee outsourced service providers handling back-office functions such as settlements and reconciliations.
  • Review credit agreements to operationalize key terms and respond to detailed loan-level inquiries.
  • Educate service providers and internal partners on deal mechanics and structuring.
  • Support loan amendments, restructurings, and other non-standard lifecycle events with accurate execution.
  • Enhance controls for alternative transactions and liaise with vendors for service enhancements.
  • Collaborate with finance teams on cash management requirements related to fund development and deal facilitation.
  • Participate in monthly activity reviews with clients as required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of operational experience in private and direct originated debt or equity.
  • Strong knowledge of loan-based products, including setup, interest calculations, and amendments.
  • Hands-on experience with credit agreements and servicing loans.
  • Exposure to SMAs, private equity, and hedge fund structures.
  • Proficiency in Excel for analyzing large data sets.
  • Ability to manage relationships with custody and accounting service providers.
  • Understanding of accounting implications for lifecycle events.
