Job Description

Overview

  • Manage CLO operations, connecting front, middle, and back-office processes for seamless execution.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Oversee compliance and operational controls, including overdraft reports and annual reviews.
  • Support the warehouse ramp-up phase to CLO securitization, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Participate in special projects to enhance team effectiveness and operational processes.
  • Monitor industry trends and attend conferences to stay updated on CLO market developments.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers to optimize asset allocation and trading analyses.
  • Review and approve trustee reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with indentures.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate warehouse facilities and CLO deal closings, collaborating with underwriters and placement agents.
  • Provide operational guidance during the drafting of deal documents.
  • Manage hypothetical trading processes to determine asset fit within CLOs.
  • Track portfolio attributes specific to portfolio manager views and indentures.
  • Review models created by shadow compliance agents and trustees per indenture.
  • Oversee daily asset, position, and cash reconciliations with middle office and trustees.
  • Attend weekly CLO management meetings to discuss pipeline and investment opportunities.
  • Serve as project manager for software implementations related to CLO operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is required.
  • 5-8 years of experience managing CLO operations directly or through outsourced providers.
  • Proficiency in CLO operations systems such as WSO Compliance, Sentry, Solvas, and Allvue.
  • Knowledge of syndicated bank loans market and risk retention compliance.
  • Experience with SQL and database query tools is desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage CLO operations and outsourced providers effectively.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Bloomberg is essential.
