Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for commercial construction projects.
- Analyze project requirements and specifications to determine materials and labor costs.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure project feasibility.
- Review and interpret architectural and engineering plans for estimation purposes.
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, proposals, and project documentation.
- Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as necessary to align with changes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and cost fluctuations to ensure accurate estimations.
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize project costs and efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimation, with 10 years preferred.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools commonly used in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and project management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure accurate cost predictions.
- Ability to work on-site and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of local construction regulations and standards in the Nashville area.
