Overview

  • Support financial planning and analysis operations for a leading energy organization, contributing to strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of operational and KPI reports, enhancing visibility into business performance metrics.
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes to support organizational financial goals.
  • Engage with stakeholders to address inquiries and provide detailed financial insights and analysis.
  • Utilize advanced Excel and ERP systems to streamline data management and reporting processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize financial operations and reporting accuracy.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform reconciliation and variance analysis for accounting closes, ensuring alignment with reporting requirements.
  • Support Finance and Investor Relations teams in responding to inquiries from banks and research firms.
  • Prepare and distribute operational and KPI reports to internal stakeholders, enhancing decision-making processes.
  • Assist in annual budgeting and reforecasting activities, tracking expenditures against forecasts.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Procurement teams to manage purchase orders and vendor payments.
  • Develop variance bridges and financial commentary to analyze project-level performance.
  • Utilize Excel and ERP systems for efficient data handling and reporting.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 0–2 years of experience in Accounting, Corporate Finance, or FP&A preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel required; familiarity with Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, particularly Oracle, is a plus.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills to effectively convey financial insights.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of the energy, oil & gas industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
