Overview

• Lead estimating operations for a commercial AEC organization, ensuring accurate project cost assessments and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align estimating strategies with organizational goals and objectives.
• Drive innovation in estimating processes, leveraging technology and industry best practices.
• Oversee a team of estimators, providing mentorship and fostering professional growth.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all estimating activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and vendors.
• Analyze market trends to inform estimating strategies and improve accuracy.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for executive management.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Manage the preparation of comprehensive cost estimates for commercial AEC projects.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure project estimates align with client requirements.
• Implement and monitor quality control measures in estimating processes.
• Develop and maintain estimating standards and procedures.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure seamless integration of estimates into project plans.
• Provide training and development opportunities for estimating team members.
• Monitor project budgets and recommend adjustments as necessary.
• Participate in contract negotiations and vendor selection processes.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating, preferably within the commercial AEC sector.
• Executive-level experience managing estimating teams and processes.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve strategic objectives.
