Job Description

Overview

  • Support a boutique accounting practice specializing in entertainment industry clients, handling both individual and corporate accounts.
  • Engage in full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with HR to reconcile benefits, insurance deductions, and payroll-related transactions.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, ensuring high-quality output and professional growth.
  • Handle bill payments, deposits, and cash management tasks efficiently.
  • Contribute to data entry and administrative tasks during peak tax season.
  • Work on-site initially, with potential for hybrid flexibility in the future.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close processes.
  • Prepare financial statements and reporting packages on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate payroll deductions and benefits reconciliation.
  • Supervise junior team members and provide mentorship and guidance.
  • Perform data entry and support administrative tasks during tax season.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and financial analysis as required.
  • Support wire transfers, check runs, and funding-related reconciliations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting operations.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with payroll and HR-related reconciliations is advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
