Job Description

Overview

  • Coordinate and manage e-billing processes, ensuring compliance with firm policies and procedures.
  • Support implementation and administration of e-billing platforms, including data uploads and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with billing teams to resolve issues and ensure accurate LEDES billing formats.
  • Review client billing guidelines to reconcile rates between accounting systems and e-billing platforms.
  • Provide budgets, forecasts, and profitability analysis for case estimates.
  • Investigate and resolve e-billing errors promptly to ensure proper submissions.
  • Track invoice statuses and address client deductions or payment delays.
  • Assist with technical e-billing issues and perform ad hoc duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Support e-billing platform implementation and ensure alignment with firm policies.
  • Administer e-billing data and resolve issues for accurate submissions.
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to address billing discrepancies and client deductions.
  • Investigate payment delays, rejections, and short payments for e-bills.
  • Validate electronic billing setups and resolve errors promptly.
  • Monitor invoices and ensure compliance with client payment terms.
  • Provide technical support for e-billing-related issues as requested.
  • Perform additional duties to support the billing and collections team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of six years of e-billing experience, preferably in a legal billing environment.
  • Proficiency in e-billing vendor software and LEDES billing formats.
  • Working knowledge of 3E and/or Aderant systems is essential.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word for data management.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal and external teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adopt a proactive approach to work.
  • Knowledge of e-billing processes and troubleshooting techniques.
