Job Description

Overview

  • Manage payroll and benefits administration to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR and accounting teams for payroll funding and reconciliation.
  • Support employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits matters.
  • Assist in onboarding sessions to communicate payroll and benefits information.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives for payroll and benefits operations.
  • Leverage HR systems to enhance operational efficiency and data integrity.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and benefits information.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform biweekly payroll audits and resolve discrepancies.
  • Conduct payroll tax reconciliations and manage unemployment claims.
  • Administer benefits open enrollment and process benefit billing transactions.
  • Coordinate employee leave and align payroll accordingly.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits programs.
  • Support HR data transactions in Workday, ensuring accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
  • Complete quarterly and annual reporting, including census and workers’ compensation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience; Workday/ADP knowledge preferred.
  • APA certification is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of payroll and benefits regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
